128 PORT RURAL AUTOMATIC EXCHANGE (RAX) is a Stored program Controlled (SPC) Digital Switching System with capacity of 128 terminations which includes subscriber lines, trunks and service circuits. It can act as a terminal exchange and employs a completely non-blocking 4 wire PCM switching network.

256 PORT RAX can act as terminal exchange. Integrated Local-cum-Transmit (ILT) exchange or purely Transit Exchange. This could be placed in secondary switching area as tertiary centre providing connectivity among a number of RAX's, TAX and manual trunk positions in addition to local subscribers. Employs completely non-blocking 4 wire PCM switching and provide for 256 termination.

512 PORT switch is the basic building block of C-DOT DSS. It is capable of intra-module switching and has its own resources for tones, MF/DTMF signaling, announcement and line testing. It can be used as a stand-alone switch with the full complement of software including administration functions. This switch housed in a single cabinet can serve 512 terminations, without concentration, lines or trunks, analog or digital in a fully non-blocking mode. Additional cabinets consisting of lines only can be used for concentration of subscriber line traffic. This configuration can serve upto 1400 lines and 128 trunks (analog   &  digital)
