Enclosure
 The HTL Data Communication Standalone Equipment (SAE) houses power supply and
appropriate connectors for rack mountable modem cards to be used as customer premise
equipment.
The SAE is designed in accordance with TEC specification number SP. 406-Standalone for
Data Communication Equipment like modems, drives, data over voice etc.
The standalone enclosure accepts 6U type (I) card modems as mentioned in SP405. The SAE is
provided with supporting card guides, so that individual modem rack card of 6U height can
directly slide into the SAE. The card can be locked by the quarter turn screw provided on
its facia panel.
The SAE has an inhibit power supply module which caters to the DC power requirements for
different card modems.
The SAE is provided on the rear side with V.24 terminations by a 25 pin D female
connectors. The line terminations are provided with 6 way terminal block or by 6 way RJ 11
socket to enable fast and easy connections of telephone line and optional telephone
handset.
