OVERVIEW :
The
NTU-128 series are 128 Kbps high-speed base-band modems for use in a variety of
applications ranging from data communication, transport of fractional services to internet
working. It is available with a wide choice of DTE interfaces to suit different
applications. It uses 2B1Q line coding technology to transmit over 5.5 Kilometres (using
AWG#26) without removal of bridge taps. Adaptive equalisation and echo cancellation of
greater than 70 dB also ensures consistent performance, even over poor quality lines.
The system is designed for easy installation and management. A single control module with
a LCD front panel and push buttons can manage all 16 modules in the shelf and all 16
remote connected units. Stored configuration profiles can be downloaded into either the
local or remote units for quick setup.
The NTU-128 comes with power-on self-test and built-in V.54 loop tester for optimal speed
calibration and troubleshooting. It also has a comprehensive real-time error logging and
reporting. The alarm management system includes user selectable alarm traps and
conditions. An external alarm trigger interface allows for customization into central
installation sites.
