EWSD, a digital switching system is intended for all
applications with respect to node size, range of services and network environment. It can
work as a small local or as a large local or transit exchange. It also offers the latest
features for operator services systems, intelligent networks and mobile communication
networks. It can switch the most varied types of information and can be adapted flxibility
to changing requirement.
The exchange can handle upto 25200 Erlangs with 2.5 million BHCAs. The system can be
dimensioned to have upto 250000 subscribers or as transit exchange catering to 60000
trunks. A variety of rich centrex features for subscribers is available. The system offers
ISDN connectivity, WILL connectivity and a range of signalling including CCS7 for
interconnecting to any type of network. It can support intelligent network and TMN
function.
